I hadn’t heard from Carter for two weeks. I didn’t know if our plan worked, I didn’t want to think about it too much. What if it worked but it pushed him further away from me and into the arms of some American beauty? I sighed as I sat on the sofa at Darcey and Conor’s.

I felt like a burden here, but they assured me that I could stay for as long as I needed.

Darcey’s mum and dad were popping in everyday, they were lost also. They didn’t know what to do for the best. Zara just wanted to jump on a plane and find him, wherever he was, but Tanner was more level-headed, telling her to be patient. And I agreed with him. We didn’t know where he was. Carter still hadn’t given us any information, but I wouldn’t be able to wait much longer. I needed to see him soon.

It had been six months and still no word.

I agreed with myself that I would give him to the end of this week, then I would be demanding to know where Chase Sawyer was.

I needed him home.

We needed him home.
